Spring works for heating systems: How to ensure long-term protection and efficiency during the offseason

Heating systems

Spring has come and it’s for sure to stay. This only means that the heating season is fully completed, which reminds you of certain activities related to boilers for the summer period. Even as we prepare the boiler installation for the working season at the start of the heating season, it is also a certain procedure to ensure heating system protection and efficiency, so that the boiler installation will be in the same condition as we left it in the spring when the new heating season begins in the autumn and the season can be started without worries. As the metal surfaces, in siltum-mechanical systems, are known, corrosion is the biggest threat. Corrosion protection of the system is important both when working and when idle or in standby mode. It is therefore necessary to prepare for standing in the heat installation during the intermediate season to protect the inner surface against corrosion. The same is true during the between-season if the boiler is suspended until fully chilled and the operation resumes after several days or weeks. The protection of the warm-technical metal surfaces shall be carried out for both boilers and heat exchangers, turbines, tanks, pipes, and internal surfaces of cooling systems, including glycol-operated systems, shall be treated with corrosion protection products during the intermediate season.

We are ready to engage and develop a program both to protect against corrosion during the day-to-day working hours of the season and to provide continuous protection for the preservation of systems and equipment for up to 24 months during the intermediate season to form a self-restorative monomolecular inhibitory layer. The preservative protects unavailable and deep surfaces using the inhibitory action effect of the vapor phase.

From an environmental point of view, the preservative does not contain nitrites, phosphates, heavy metals, or freeze amines.

After scanning, that’s before you go back to work – all you need to do is flush the system with water.

A successful midseason and preparation for the new heat heating season soon after a few months.
